Standard BSA-Style Rules (Starter Set)

1. Car Kit: Use the official Pinewood Derby kit provided by the pack or BSA.
2. Dimensions: Keep your car within typical derby limits (length/width/height). The pack can adjust for its track.
3. Weight: Maximum weight is typically 5.0 oz. Final check is at inspection.
4. Wheels & Axles: Use official wheels/axles unless the pack announces approved alternatives. Light polishing is usually allowed; no bearings.
5. Propulsion: Gravity only. No springs, motors, or other power sources.
6. Safety: Cars must be structurally sound and safe to handle.
7. Inspection: Cars must pass inspection. If needed, adjustments can be made before racing begins.
